When someone comments on your blog, should you reply there or go reply on their blog?
I try to go around and leave some love on various blogs every day, and obviously it's a lot easier to reply on your own, but do people check back like I do to see if the blog author replied to them specifically?
I don't know, and I want to do this right, any suggestions?
I usually check back because I'm a compulsive "checker" lol. I like to start conversations so I allows check to see if anyone else is joining in.

Usually, if someone leaves me a comment, I check to see if they have a blog, I start by following it and leave a few comments. Then, I just watch to see how interactive they are or how interested I am in the topic. Usually, I end up follow more than I thought I would and then only unfollow those who stop writing or never reply to comments.
At least that is what has worked for me.
i check back or get lazy and just try to click that (e-mail me responses) thingies.. save yourself time, trust taht ppl with check back, and just respond on your comments. Easier.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I differ from the ladies above in that I'll probably answer their question on my blog but then also head over to their blog and try to leave a comment on one of their posts as well. I figure we're all trying to get more traffic and we all want comments so I may as well return the favor, right? :-)

I usually just answer on my own blog because I figure the people reading the other person's blog aren't all that interested in the conversation.

I've actually been trying to do both, but with more and more people reading and commenting now, I'm sure (or at least I hope) the day will come when I'll have a hard time keeping up! I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it! Excellent points from everyone though, and I truly appreciate the feedback, it's good to know I wasn't breaking some age old blogging rule doing what I am! Thanks ladies!
